The College is offering
"Back to Basics: An Introduction to Wound Care" in partnership with Anne Arundel Community College located in beautiful Arnold, Maryland.
Back to Basics serves as an excellent one-day refresher course for professionals who feel they could use a tune-up in Basic Wound Care. This course is designed to provide healthcare practitioners with an overview of current wound healing practices and technologies. Participants will gain knowledge of clinically useful information that can be supplied in the management of patients with various wound types.

For a patient with chronic lower extremity swelling from
venous insufficiency, the use of intermittent pneumatic compression
pump (IPC-pump)
- is indicated regardless of the patient's
ABI value
- is a first line treatment before pressure
gradient stockings
- is a one hour treatment that may be used
twice a day
- is used as an adjunct after vein stripping
- is used for ablation of the perforator vein
